Amy Gray is an experienced leadership and business coach who draws on more than 20 + years of experience in senior leadership, digital, technical, and marketing roles to support growth-oriented leaders in cultivating clarity and confidence through one-on-one coaching, group leadership programs and online learning tools. The core areas of competency she brings to her work include leadership, people development, business strategy, strategic marketing, digital development, and marketing and people development.
Gray delivers her coaching programs for emerging and established leaders, entrepreneurs and business owners through her organisation, The Leadership Effect. She also works supporting IT leaders through her work as a Business Coach for incredibleresults.
Her career has been involved in the start-up and scaling up of two successful businesses: The Meikle Files (now Elkiem) within the leadership and training sector, and Digital Stampede, a digital marketing agency that integrated into The Zoo Republic and became a full-service agency.
In her role as General Manager at The Meikle Files, Gray worked closely with Founder and CEO Andrew Meikle to research, understand and diagnose cultural performance trends and behaviours, as well as to implement organisation-wide leadership and change management programs. The conclusions drawn from Andrew Meikle’s interviews on high-performance environmental structures with Nelson Mandela, Richard Dawkins, the Last Samurai, and leaders from the Juilliard School, Harvard Business School, and MIT, among others, continue to inform Gray’s work today.
As one of four founders at Digital Stampede and the Director of Digital Client Services, Gray and her CTO were instrumental in creating and leading a digital marketing team with software development expertise. In addition to refining her marketing skills through the delivery of exceptional campaign outcomes, her ownership stake in the company taught Gray about the financial and emotional commitments that come along with owning a business.
In her work with coaching clients today, Amy is extremely passionate about uncovering the ‘why’ and building high-performance cultures, believing that every person has a responsibility to consciously realise their potential and to positively engage with those they lead.
When she’s not supporting leaders and teams, Amy’s “outside work life” reflects her passion for observing and understanding the energy balance that exists between individuals and the systems within which they operate. As an amateur beekeeper, Amy is able to view this balance in action in nature. She is also a keen cyclist and mountain biker.
